Maria Cho is a seasoned executive with a proven track record in driving innovation and growth across diverse industries. With a strong foundation in scientific research and a deep understanding of the complexities of the biopharmaceutical sector, she has successfully led teams to develop and commercialize groundbreaking products.

Maria’s career began in the laboratory, where she focused on neurodegenerative disease research at Thomas Jefferson University. This early experience ignited a passion for scientific inquiry that has continued to shape her approach to business. Her subsequent roles at WuXi AppTec and FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies honed her expertise in business development, sales, and commercial strategy.

In recent years, Maria has demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to addressing global challenges. As Co-Founder and COO of Phi Therapeutics, she pioneered the world’s first probiotic skincare line. Currently, as CEO of TripleBar Bio, she is leading the charge in developing sustainable solutions for food and healthcare.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Biomedical Chemistry from Thomas Jefferson University. Her academic background, coupled with her extensive industry experience, positions her as a thought leader in the fields of biotechnology and sustainability.

Rosie is a seasoned investor with a decade-long focus on the intersection of food systems and sustainability. A pioneer in applying ESG principles to the food sector, she co-founded FAIRR, a network now representing over $60 trillion in assets. Her deep industry knowledge, gained from working with major food corporations and investors, led her to identify investment opportunities in the sector’s challenges. Rosie was instrumental in the rise of the alt protein space, including an early investment in Beyond Meat, and now leads the CPT Capital portfolio. She also advises on global initiatives to address food security.

A proven thought-leader with over 40 years of strategic, operational, and regulatory experience in biopharmaceutical product development and commercialization. Founded and built a successful consulting practice which was subsequently sold to BDO USA in 2019. Over the next three years, worked to fully integrate the business into BDO while helping to expand the group and increase revenue over 60%. Retired from BDO in April 2022 to seek new opportunities at the board level.

Dave Friedberg is CEO of TPB. Dave helps set strategy, define TPB’s investment theses, and manages key TPB investments. Dave is a director on the boards of Lavoro (Latin America’s largest ag inputs retailer) and Pattern Ag (the leading predictive agronomy company focused on soil biology).

Before TPB, he was founder and CEO of The Climate Corporation, the world’s leading digital agronomy software platform, used by farmers across 200+ million acres of farms worldwide. The Climate Corporation was acquired in 2013 for over $1 billion by Monsanto, where Dave joined as a member of the executive leadership team.

Dave was also the founder of Metromile, the world’s leading digital auto insurance platform, which went public on NASDAQ in 2021 and was acquired in 2022. Earlier in his career, Dave held senior roles in Corporate Development and Product at Google.

Dave co-hosts All-In, the world’s No. 1 podcast across technology, business and investing. Dave was born in South Africa and grew up in Los Angeles, graduating from University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in astrophysics.
